Tourism

The tourism industry has become one of the key sectors of the world economy. CEI cooperation in this sector focuses on exchange of information, presentation of policies and actions, facilitation of know-how and best-practice. 

In this area the CEI focuses on the following priority issues fully outlined in the CEI Plan of Action 2010-12:
  • Sustainable Development, Competitiveness and quality in the Tourism Sector
  • Positioning Tourism in Strategic National Documents- Operating Structure’s Experience.
The CEI supports projects and activities in this area through various funds and instruments:
  • Cooperation Fund for small scale multilateral projects i.e. seminars, workshops, training courses 
  • Know-how Exchange Programme for projects related to capacity building and transfer of good practic to the non –EU CEI Member States.
