Media

 As outlined in detail in the CEI Plan of Action 2010 - 2012, CEI cooperation in the area of media focuses on the following core issues:

• Media Pluralism, Media Transparency and Independence, Concentration of Ownership where the CEI aims to support activities promoting the adoption and implementation of specific legislation systems which guarantee media pluralism and prevent the concentration of ownership.
• Media Literacy Education where cross-border exchange of information and good practices will be promoted.
• Legal and Ethic Aspects of Functioning of the Internet/Digital Media where the CEI will encourage discussions and raise awareness on the ethical and legal challenges of the use of Internet and digital media.

The CEI mainly supports projects and activities in this area (small scale multilateral projects i.e. seminars, workshops, training courses) through the CEI Cooperation Fund
