The CEI is currently involved as a partner in the WINS-ICT project funded under the 7th Framework Programme. The project aims at strengthening S&T cooperation between the EU and the Western Balkan countries by deepening regional strategic relations in the field of ICT and promoting the participation of Western Balkans ICT research actors in FP 7. Main expected output of the project is an improved policy dialogue in the field of ICT, reflecting the WBCs needs and priorities in future ICT Work Programmes, thus providing the ground for enhanced participation from the target region.
The CEI's previous involvement in the EU funded Great-IST project could be considered as an ‘orientation phase’ which has served as a basis for further efforts aimed to achieve a higher momentum in cooperation and direct measures in the region.
